I loved this shiny, glossy looking box and the pink ribbon was a pretty touch!

The Box: Boxycharm

The Cost: $21/month

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips (Aforable)

Value: $9.99

I have yet to try these nail polish strips and I’m super excited to have gotten them in the box! This floral print is fancy and I can’t wait to try it πŸ™‚

Rimmel London Glam Eyes HD

Value: $4.99

Ok lets be real…how stinking cute is this thing? This is getting gifted to one of my friends who love the UK. The color palette is actually great because there is a highlighter, a crease color, and an overall lid color.

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush

Value: $7.99

I like that this blush is lighter like a powder but it feels a little more like cream so it’s easy to blend!

Essence of Beauty Mini Brush Set

Value: $9.99

I love this little bitty brush set and it came in a cute velcro pack so it won’t get destroyed in my makeup bag!

Mary Kay Cosmetics Case

Value: $5.00?

This is a cute, simple cosmetics case and I love the little pink bow πŸ™‚

Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Gloss

Value: $5.50

I really like the color of this gloss and I like that it has just a tiny bit of shimmer, but not big chunky ones.

Essie Nail Color (e-nuf is e-nuf)

Value: $5.25

Rimmel Lasting-Finish Lipstick Kate Moss Collection

Value: $4.19

This color is intense! I can’t wait to give it a shot. I would never have bought this color myself which is exactly why I’m thrilled to have gotten in this box.

Here’s a swatch of that darling color!

Styli-Style Eyeliner (Jade)

Value: $5.99

This eyeliner is a perfect shade for my lower lash line and it’s waterproof too which is great for summer!

Verdict: The value of this box was just under $60.00! There were SO many products in here and they were all full-sized! I openly use all sorts of drug-store brands in my daily routine so I’m super happy with the selection. I love using department store products as well but I think there are many drug store brands that work just as well. This would be a great box especially if you’d like to beef up your makeup stock. I really enjoyed this box!

Beauty Box 5 Subscription Review

Hey Lovelies πŸ™‚

This is my review of Beauty Box 5’s subscription service! To watch me open my Beauty Box 5 watch the video below otherwise scroll down to read my written review!

I was at first surprised because the box is smaller then I was anticipating, but I quickly recovered because there were some really great products inside!

The Box: Beauty Box 5

The Cost: $12/month

Model Co Illusion Lip Enhancer Kit

Value: $20.00

First let me say, WOW. The first product I pull out of the box is worth almost double the cost of the whole box. This pencil goes on super smoothly and I love that it has a pencil sharpener built in to the cap, how brilliant is that? Check out the swatch below.

I haven’t tried this pencil while wearing a lip color yet so I’m not sure if it helps hold in the color but it certainly feels nice on my lips! It goes on smoothly and isn’t to waxy or dry.

Blinc Mascara

Value: $7.99

I have never heard of this type of product before! Apparently it coats your lashes and forms these little tubes to help lengthen and add volume. But when you take it off, the tubes just come right off without makeup remover. Cool right? I’m excited to try out this product.

Brazen Eyeshadow in Skip a Beat

Value: $7.99

This shadow has a very fine, almost weightless texture. (Check out the swatch below) At first, I thought it was a little to colorless for my liking, but I decided that it would make a great highlighter as it isn’t too white. I like highlighters that highlight (duh) but don’t look like sparkly powdered sugar either.

As you can see it’s almost nude, but it does have a slight peachy color and some pretty, discreet sparkles.

Jean Pierre Oil Absorbing Facial Tissues

Value: $1.99

I realize this product isn’t super special, nor high value, but let’s be real…it’s summer! I was happy to have these because I can always use them in summer when I get sweaty during the day and end up looking a little shiny by the evening! These are perfect to throw in my purse so that I can have them handy.

Bodyography Foundation Primer in Clear

Value: $4.50

I’m currently on the hunt for a new facial primer so I was excited to see this in the box. I currently use MAC facial primer and I like it a lot, but sometimes I just get bored and want to switch things up you know?

Verdict: The total value of this box was $42.47 which is almost 4 times the cost of the box! I was impressed with the selection of products that Beauty Box 5 offered although let’s face it…I’m thrilled just that I received the pencil! All of the other products are little bonuses which I love too πŸ™‚ For $12 a month I think that BB5 would be a great box for those of you who want to dip your toes into the Beauty Box world and get a good value for your money at the same time.

My Little Box Subscription Review- June 2013

This is a review of my first My Little Box, a french subscription box that has a new theme every month. Click play to watch the video below, or continue to read my written review!

The box was super cutely packaged, I love the little designs on the front and I was thrilled to see that this month was My Little Party Box. Cute!

The Box: My Little Box

The Cost: 15.50 euros/month

Boho Green Revolution Matte Eye Shadow in CafΓ©

Value: 8.15 €

I was thrilled to see this shadow in the box. I’ve been needing a new base shadow and this color is perfect for me. It goes on super silky and is 100% organic! (See color swatch below)

NYX Eye/Eyebrow Pencil in Bronze Glitter

Value: 3.00 €

I’ve never used NYX products before but I love this color! It’s sparkly but it goes on super smoothly. This will be perfect for going out on the town or maybe even on dates if my boyfriend still wants to take me out after being apart for a year πŸ˜‰

The upper swatch is of the Green Revolution Shadow and the lower is of the NYX eye pencil. Sparkles!

My Little Beauty Huile Corporelle

Value: 18.00 €

I was excited to see this body oil in the box. This isn’t something I would have bought for myself but I will definitely be putting it to use! The oil is a nice texture, not to thick and there are tiny little sparkles that illuminate the skin. Perfect for highlighting! They have not yet made this product available on their site, but I imagine it will be soon!

Rock Your Hair Elastic

Value: 3.00 € ?

I love this elastic! I have a ton of hair and find myself wearing ponytails a little too often. This will be a great way to dress up my everyday pony.

Let’s Party Cuff

Value: 5.00 € ?

I am a little disappointed about this cuff because I think it is super cute but it is too big! It has an adorable engraving on the inside that says “Let’s Party”. Unfortunately I won’t be able to wear this because it is too big and falls right off my wrist but I will gift it to a lucky friend πŸ™‚

Payot Hydration 24 Body Cream

Value: 3.25 €

This cream is great! It goes on super smoothly and isn’t greasy at all. Perfect for summer. It claims to help firm skin and improve its elasticity. I’ll have to see if I notice a difference.

Verdict: This box was so cute! I was really excited about what was inside. The cost of the box was 15.50 € and the value was 40.00 €! Almost 3 times the cost! I am so sad I can’t be subscribed to this box in the U.S.. I really hope they will look into international shipping soon. For now, I settled by subscribing my friend Cyrielle to a 3-month subscription for her birthday and I plan on stalking all of her boxes πŸ™‚

Would You Rather Tag: Makeup Edition

On my daily blog browsing routine I stumbled across Tori’s Notorious Beauty Blog and saw that she had done this Would You Rather beauty tag. I thought it looked fun so I decided to give it a try. Here goes!

1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
Definitely would rather lose my palettes of eyeshadow. I love tryingΒ  new eyeshadows but I definitely experiment more with other kinds of makeup and tend to stick to more of a routine when it comes to my eyecolor. But I would be so sad if I lost all of my mascaras and lip colors!

2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

Piece of cake, I’d rather never cut it again. I love my long hair! Granted, it does get desperate for a trim from time to time but I could never chop it all off!

3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

This is a tough one, because it really depends on my skin color and the season. I think I would prefer a coral cheek between the two. But not to orange because I hate looking like an Oompa Loopa (no idea how to spell that)!

4.) If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

Cl0thing. I love makeup but I ADORE clothes and love finding new styles and trends. I confess that I would rather buy cheap makeup if it meant getting to have more styles of clothing.

5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?

Lol this one made me laugh when I got the mental image. I guess I would rather wear lipstick as eyeliner. Maybe I could rock a pink eyeliner but I know I could NOT rock a black lip. That’s all I’m sayin’.

6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

No! I don’t want to choose! I absolutely love MAC but Sephora has so many different brands and a huge variety of products. I think I have to say Sephora because I’m a product addict.

7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?

One lip color. I don’t own a ton of different colors and I could probably pick one that I was happy with. But eyeshadow changes every week and with every outfit!

8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

Again, funny mental image. I love wearing shorts and tanktops in the summer, it’s my favorite season! I guess I would prefer to freeze my butt off in the winter because I hate being too hot! I’d be sweating bullets if I was wearing my North Face in the summer.

9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

Bright nails! I’m kind of guilty of doing this already. I don’t do a very good job of changing my nailcolors to match the season, and usually I gravitate towards brighter colors anyways. But next fall I am really going to try to branch out and try some darker colors. I’ll be scoping all of your blogs for ideas πŸ™‚

10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?

I think I would rather give up my favorite eye product. I have really dry lips and I am a legit chapstick addict. Like, apply every 15 minutes addict. If I couldn’t have my C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve I think I would have a panic attack.

11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?

If I had some sort of talent with messy buns this might be a challenging question. Sadly, my messy buns usually end in epic fails so I think I would stick with the pony tail.

12.) Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss?

If lip gloss doesn’t count other lip products and colors I’ll go with lip gloss. I really do enjoy painting my nails when I’m not being a lazy bum! And I don’t really love lip gloss all that much.

13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?

HAHAHA. Oh my gosh. How to answer? Maybe I could use a light brown sharpie? HAHAHA I’ll go with that.

14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

I love nail polish but lets be real. How could I live without makeup? Hands down nail polish for this one!

Thanks for reading! I’d love if some of you did this tag and then we can compare. If you decide to do it, post the link in my comments section and I’ll paste the link in a new post!

Have a happy Friday!
