I received the gift box to review, that is packed with a variety of must-have products for people with active lifestyles. Please note that this box was the April/May gift box and is no longer available!

IMG_3549

The Box: The Runner Box

The Cost: $20/month ($20 for a one time gift box as well)

IMG_3551

Value: $2.15

These hair ties are super cute, I love the texture! But the really great this about this company is that every one of these hairbands sold,  purifies 1 Gal of water/day & provides jobs for the people of Haiti. I love companies with a mission!

IMG_3552

Nuun Drink Mix (Fruit Punch)

Value: $0.80

As I’ve said before, I struggle to drink enough water during my workouts so I’m always thrilled to have something that not only provides me with electrolytes and tastes yummy!

IMG_3553

Get Active Tea for Endurance

Value: $0.40

I was really interested in this brand so I did a bit of research and found that they have tea for all types of goals! They have a tea metabolism, recovery and flexibility among others. I absolutely love tea after spending a year in France and I’m excited to try this one.

IMG_3554

Bonk Breaker Energy Bite (Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip)

Value: $2.30

S0 anything Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip flavored is already my favorite thing ever. However, I like that this bar is also gluten-free, dairy-free and free of soy, not to mention it’s perfectly sized! Great for a pre-workout snack.

IMG_3556

Jelly Belly Sport Beans (Pomegranate)

Value: $1.25

I can’t believe I have never heard of these sports beans! They look so tasty and would be great for a yummy energy boost during a workout or during class. This little resealable pack has 50mg of caffeine and a good amount of Vitamin B & C.

IMG_3557

Lenny & Larry’s Muscle Brownie (Triple Chocolate)

Value: $2.30

I have a feeling this bar is coming straight out of the box and going straight into Taylor’s mouth! The only reason it hasn’t been eaten yet is because he hasn’t seen it. But, I’m a good girlfriend so I’ve been saving some yummy snacks and supplements for him 😉 I couldn’t believe how heavy this bar was and that is has 20g of protein!

IMG_3558

CocoaVia Daily Cocoa Extract Supplement

Value: $2.40

These yummy little packets can be added to yogurt, water, milk, cereal..just about anything daily. Cocoa is said to help promote healthy circulation and is the only natural source of phytonutrients found on earth. Interesting! I’m excited to taste these 🙂

IMG_3559

Accel Recover Energy Bar (Chocolate Peanut Butter)

Value: $2.10

This bar sounds tasty and has some beneficial elements for athletes recovering from an intense workout! This one will get passed onto Taylor as I’m not a huge recovery drink/bar type gal.

IMG_3560

Sensible Foods Crunch Dried Snacks

Value: $1.38

I was excited to see these in the box! I love healthy snacks that I can toss into my purse or backpack when I’m on the go. And I love that these are fat-free and only 50 calories per pack!

IMG_3561

ShowerPill Athletic Body Wipes

Value: $1.25

I was really excited to see a ShowerPill in my box! We used to sell these at the gym I worked at and I think they are fanstastic. Although they were originally designed for athletes, they are great to keep in your purse or gym bag when you need to freshen up. They unfold into a nice size, are very durable and I love that they aren’t sticky.

IMG_3562

Injinji 2012 Performance Lightweight No Show Toe Socks

Value: $12.00

I was super stoked to see these socks in the box! They are super light-weight and perfect for running (especially if your feet sweat when you work out like this girl) because they breath really well. I don’t usually where toe-socks, but hey there’s a first time for everything right? 🙂 If you’d like to make a purchase from Injinji click HERE and use code ANYSHOE to get 40% off of your purchase!

IMG_3563

Energy Bits

Value: $5.00

I’ve heard about these little guys before but have never gotten to taste them and I am quite curious! These are made out of 100% organic spirulina algae and loaded with 40 nutrients! I’m excited to try them and I hope they taste good! If you’d like to try energy bits, click HERE and use code RUNNERBOX to get 15% off your order!

Verdict: The value of this box is $33.34! I love that this box had so many different kinds of items in it! This box would be a fantastic gift for any active person. I think my favorite item was the hair-band, it’s super cute and it supports a cause which is great!

MiaTempo Subscription Review & Giveaway!

Happy Monday my lovely readers!

Today I have a very exciting review for you guys AND another giveaway!

This is my review of MiaTempo, an all natural, organic spa and beauty box designed to give women a little ‘me time’ each month. If you’d like to watch me open my box click play on the video below. Or, scroll down to read my written review!

IMG_3438

After reading about this box, and chatting with the founder Christina, I was so excited to receive my box for review! Whenever possible, MiaTempo includes skin care and beauty products that are made in the USA.  Christina acknowledged that are some great products that are made outside of the U.S. but she believes in trying to support local products and the jobs they help create whenever possible.

Another aspect of MiaTempo that really inspired me is the fact that every month, a portion of their proceeds are donated to charitable cause that coincides with our mission of empowering and inspiring women.  Since the launch of MiaTempo, they have helped to support Dress for Success, Breast Cancer Connections, Abby’s Closet, Vital Voices and Girls Inc.  Here is a quote from Christina: “We do this because I’ve been able to make it through some challenging times in my life thanks to the thoughtfulness, assistance and the charity of others, and I want to be able to give back what I can to help women everywhere.” How great is that?

IMG_3439

The Box: MiaTempo

The Cost: $39.95/month (prices go down if you subscribe to multiple months at one time)

IMG_3440

Green Way Small Hot Dot Tote Bag

Value: $8.00?

This bag is super cute and perfect for a trip to the beach. I love the little pocket on the front and also the fact that it zips shut so I can keep from getting crunchies inside 🙂

IMG_3441

Rinse Co Café Mocha Powdered Mask

Value: $10.95

This mask is so neat! I’ve never heard of this Rinse brand, but I’ve already been converted. This mask is full of antioxidants & is slightly caffeinated. It helps “perk-up, de-puff and brighten your skin while helping your moisturizers & serums to penetrate faster & work better.” I thought it was so cool that you can add yogurt, honey, milk or anything creamy to mix this mask up!

IMG_3442

Margarita Pucker Stick

Value: $4.00

So when they say Margarita, they mean margarita. My mom snagged this immediately and put some on. She said it was smooth and tasted exactly like a delicious margarita. Fun!

IMG_3443

Del Sol Sunless Tanner

Value: $13.39

I’m not a huge Sunless Tanner fan simply because I’m always afraid about looking streaky or orange. However, I looked up some reviews for this product and people are raving about it. So for the sake of branching out, I think I might give this a try.

IMG_3444

Ginger Lemongrass Body Spread

Value: $10.95

This spread smells SO yummy! It spreads on thick but quickly soaks in and the scent lingers which I love. This is a big jar and a little of this lotion goes a long way so I think this will last me for quite a while!

Verdict: The value of this box is just under $50.00. What a great value! Not to mention the fact that some of the proceeds are donated to a great cause. I think this box would be a fantastic gift for someone special or yourself. I think MiaTempo may just be on my must-have list. I can’t wait to use these products!

Would you like to sign up for Miatempo? Click HERE. In addition to letting me review this lovely box, Christina at MiaTempo has kindly agreed to giveaway a one-month subscription of MiaTempo to one of my lucky readers! Box Month Begins! Stunner of the Month Review & Subscription Giveaway!

Hello everyone!

July is finally here and you know what that means… Box Month! For those of you who haven’t yet heard, I decided to do a feature on my blog where I review a different subscription box everyday during the month of July! I have so many great subscription box services to share with you guys along with lots of coupon codes and giveaways! For each box I review, I will post a unboxing/first impression video followed by a more detailed blog post.

Let’s kickoff Box Month with my first review of Stunner of the Month!

Click play to watch the video below as I open the box, or continue to read my written review!

IMG_3432

The fire on the box made me ready to have my socks knocked off! 😉

The Box: Stunner of the Month

The Cost: $9/month

IMG_3433

These sunglasses are super fun! (If you want to see how they look on me watch the video above!) Not something I would ever pick out for myself but that’s why I love the idea of this box. Along with the sunglasses came a little key chain that has both a mini flat-head and philips-head screwdriver for tightening your sunglasses. This little key chain is pure gold. My sister and her boyfriend have already used it to tune up some of their old pairs of sunglasses.

Verdict: For only $9 a month I think this box is fantastic. What a fun way to try new sunglasses? If you’re anything like me, my sunglasses don’t ever last long due to the fact that they usually get sat on or fall off a boat (sigh). I think Stunner of the Month is a fun way to find new sunglasses that you may never have bought for yourself otherwise, and to keep your sunglasses stock full!

Did you like this box as much as I did? Good news… You can get your first month FREE by using the code trystunner when you sign up HERE.

Did you really like this box? Even more good news… The awesome people over at Stunner of the Month have agreed to giveaway one 6-month AND one 3-month subscription to Stunner of the Month to two of my lucky readers! This is a rafflecopter giveaway so cross your fingers and click on the link to enter below!
